The Somnolent Priests project is part of a musical and artistic performance allowing improvisation to express itself in the framework of an experimental and conceptual quest. The goal of the project is to set up an evolving ambient atmosphere following a narrative structure that immerses the spectator in a global musical experience. The music is inspired by several genres such as Drone, Doom, and Post-Metal while adding a tribal and oriental touch. In a wider range, Somnolent Priests belongs to the Doom movement where sound atmosphere is more important than virtuosity.
